Upon your arrival at Istanbul International airport, we will be waiting for you outside the arrival gate with a “10togo.tours” sign to welcome you and transfer you to your hotel.
Overnight in Istanbul.
DAY 02: Istanbul Old City Walking Tour (B)
Hagia Sophia, also known as “the Great Church”, is largely considered to be the epitome of Byzantine architecture. Erected in the sixth century by the Emperor Justinian I of the Byzantine Empire, it was converted into a mosque in 1453 after the Ottoman conquest of Byzantium. It now stands as a museum whose massive dome still dominates the skyline of old Istanbul.
Next, we visit the Blue Mosque which takes its name from the exquisite tiles adorning its interior. It was built by Sultan Ahmet I in the early 17th century and designed by a pupil of Sinan, the greatest of Ottoman architects. It is the only imperial mosque with six minarets and was designed as a show of strength to complement the imposing Hagia Sophia Mosque, which faces it across Sultanahmet Square.
Nearby these historical sites is the Grand Bazaar, one of the oldest and largest covered markets in the world. It continues to be the commercial heart of the old city with 61 covered roads and 4,000 shops full of treasures including carpets and kilims, silks, jewelry, ceramics, and leather goods. Wandering through the Grand Bazaar, travellers can indulge in some shopping.
In the afternoon we continue our tour to Topkapi Palace, where around 30 Sultans ruled from for nearly four centuries (15th to the 19th century) during the Ottoman Empire’s 600-year reign. We will visit some of the places built within the palaces, one of them being the Imperial Treasury. The Imperial Treasury is home to unrivalled collections of objects made from or decorated with gold, silver, rubies, emeralds, jade, and pearls. Among these precious minerals is the Spoonmaker’s Diamond, the 3rd largest diamond in the world. The Palace also houses numerous Ottoman court costumes and ceramics, notably including one of the world’s finest collections of Chinese celadons, many of which were gifts from other rulers.
Within the Palace is Baghdad Kiosk, where you will be able to enjoy the most beautiful viewpoint of the Palace. We will also explore the Imperial Armory, displaying centuries of Ottoman weaponry. Perhaps the loveliest features of Topkapi Palace are its courtyards with their ancient trees; it is easy to imagine the Sultan strolling here far from the cares of state and empire.
Overnight in Istanbul.
DAY 03: Gallipoli Tour (B)
The first place to visit will be Brighton Beach. On the dawn of April 25th, 1915, allied forces of the Commonwealth and France landed on this beach with the goal of capturing the Gallipoli Peninsular and then Constantinople, the capital of Ottoman empire. This was planned in order to remove a major German ally from the East, thus relieving the deadlock of the Western Front in Europe and securing control of a supply route to Russia through the Dardanelles and the Black Sea. However, this was not the case due to poor command and communications.
To learn more about the history of the WWI Battlefields of Gallipoli, our tour will continue to visit the following sites:
Beach cemetery, ANZAC Cove, Ariburnu Cemetery, ANZAC Commemorative Site, Respect to Mehmetcik Statue, Lone Pine Australia Memorial, Johnston's Jolly, (Turkish and Allied trenches and tunnels), Turkish 57th Infantry Regiment Cemetery, the Nek and Chunuk Bair New Zealand Memorial.

You will also see the Great Theatre, which holds a capacity of 24,000 people and is believed to be the place where St. Paul preached to the Ephesians.
