Best of Morocco
Tour Summary
Best of Morocco tour is designed carefully to bring you not only to the most interesting Moroccan tourist attractions and cities but also to get you deep into their culture and hospitality: getting lost in old medina, or haggling in the souks, or exploring the old blue and white town, or enjoying mesmerizing sunset in the Sahara desert, or walking on top of the ramparts in the sea side are just a few of the best adventures on this custom-made tour.
We are proud of our specialized itineraries, same as Moroccans are proud of their mint tea which plays a vital role in their culture. Although packed with antioxidants, this green tea blended with mint leaves is the drink of hospitality rather than of health. And its preparation and presentation to guests are something not to miss in Morocco.

Itinerary
Day 1: Casablanca (Arrival)
Today all duties of the country are handled in Casablanca except for administration which is in Rabat. On your arrival to Casablanca airport, you will be met by our company representative who will assist with your transfer to the Hotel. Depending on your arrival, you have some good options to explore the city.
A visit to Moroccan Jewish Museum (Tue & Wed closed), the only Jewish Museum in an Arabic-speaking world. This institution is set in an attractive garden villa that once functioned as a Jewish orphanage. It traces the 2000-year history of Jews in Morocco, focusing on Casablanca's Jewish community (most of the country's Jews live here). Then, continue to the Royal Palace and Habous district and central market. After, visit the Mosque Hassan II before sunset from the outside. This mosque is the 7th largest one in the world but it claims the title of having the largest minaret in the world.
Sunset view and the mosque lighting at nighttime are good photography opportunities.
Overnight in Casablanca
Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat – Asilah
Our tour will go on towards Asilah with its amazing ramparts. Many of the ramparts were built in the 15th century when Asilah was under the control of the Portuguese.
Overnight in Asilah
Day 3: Asilah - Tangier – Chefchaouen
We continue our way to Chefchaouen, famous as a blue town and one of Morocco's most photographed cities. This city has lots of beauties to offer with breathtaking views, narrow paved allies and old neighborhoods painted in blue and white color. This is definitely a dream visit to most of Morocco’s visitors.
Overnight in Chefchaouen
Day 4: Chefchaouen – Ouazzane – Volubilis - Meknes – Fes
Overnight in Fes
Day 5: Fes
Visit the medieval Medina with its Attarine and Bou Anania Medersas, the Nejjarine Fountain, the Moulay Idriss Mausoleum, and the Karaouine Mosque.
Overnight in Fes
Day 6: Fes – Erfoud – Irfan – Cedars Forest - Edge of Sahara Desert
Arrive in Erfoud, at the edge of the great Sahara Desert.
We will go further south to reach the desert dunes and stay overnight in one of the camp sites. This will give us an opportunity to experience an amazing sunset and sunrise. The campsite will have optional activities; prices vary depending on the activity.
Overnight in camp in South of Erfoud
Day 7: Erfoud – Gorges of Todgha – Dades Valley – Kalaat M’Gouna – Ouarzazate
We continue through the winding road inside the Dades Gorge. Morocco’s famous zig zag road on wheels is an absolute highlight - quite an adventure but perfectly safe.
Our last stop is the Berber town of Kalaat M’Gouna, famous for its roses and perfumes. Another wonderful day in Morocco with some amazing stops on the road.
Overnight in Ouarzazate
Day 8: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakesh
We will then visit Ksar of Ait-Ben-Haddou (UNESCO), the famous kasbah used for many great movies. This traditional pre-Saharan habitat Kasbah is surrounded by high walls and the houses within these defensive walls and corner towers.

Day 11: Marrakesh - Essaouira
At one point, Jews made up 40% of the population of Essoauira and though the vast majority of these have since left the country, they left behind a number of synagogues and a cemetery. Unfortunately, many of these synagogues have been destroyed or simply abandoned over the years and are not in conditions to be visited. The Jewish cemetery, however, has been well preserved and deserves a look.
Essaouira Citadel is one of the most touristic sites in this town which we will visit along with other historical places.
Overnight in Essaouira
Day 12: Essaouira - Casablanca
Then we will visit Portuguese Cisterns. Once a warehouse, the Portuguese Cisterns were used to film Orson Welles’ Othello. The gloomy chamber is atmospheric especially when the sun shines through a hole in the roof and creates reflections on the water and the pillars cast shadows on the walls.
Overnight in Casablanca
Day 13: Casablanca – Airport to fly back home
We hope you have enjoyed Best of Morocco and we hope to see you soon for another memorable 10toGo.tours.
